Pistons and Props is a new community event in Southern Wisconsin featuring airplane rides (for purchase), classic car and motorcycle shows, historic aircraft displays, live music, food, drinks, and kids’ activities.
Nope! You can join us on Friday, July 18 or Saturday, July 19. Tickets are available for one or both days.
- Friday, July 18: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM
- Saturday, July 19: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
We’ll do our best to hold the event as planned. If we have to cancel either day due to weather, we’ll move it to Sunday, July 21.
No ATM will be available on-site, but most vendors will accept credit or debit cards.
Yes! You’ll find food and drinks, plus a variety of merchant vendors. Only sealed water bottles are allowed through the gate. Check the website for updates.

No, we’re not able to provide parking for motorhomes at this time.
Only sealed water and baby food/formula are allowed. Please don’t bring coolers or outside food.
Pistons and Props is organized by Propel Forward, a nonprofit with a volunteer board. Your ticket helps cover event costs and supports other nonprofit groups and historic aircraft displays. It also helps us grow the event and keep future ticket prices low.
Yes! Feel free to bring lawn chairs or blankets. There will be grass space near the band, plus shaded seating near food areas. Please don’t leave chairs to hold space for long periods.
Yes! Bessie’s Diner will be open at the main terminal. Use the terminal parking lot if you’re dining there.
Note:
There is no direct access to the event from the diner or the terminal ramp. Please enter through the main gate.
No, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the event grounds.
All bags may be searched. Approved items include:
- Baby essentials (food, snacks, diaper bags)
- Service animals (ADA compliant)
- Umbrellas (handheld only)
- Folding/lawn chairs
- Blankets
- Non-motorized kids’ wagons
- Mobility aids (wheelchairs, walkers, scooters)
- Sunscreen
- Cameras and video equipment
- Hearing protection (earplugs, headsets)
- Strollers
Prohibited items include:
- Weapons of any kind
- Smoking or illegal substances
- Large coolers or coolers on wheels
- Tents, canopies, or large umbrellas
- Skates, hoverboards, bikes, or scooters
- Motorcycles/mopeds inside the event unless registered
- BBQ grills
- Large bags or backpacks
- Alcohol or glass containers
- Drones
- Pets (except service animals)
- Any item deemed a safety concern by staff

Yes! Space is limited, so please email us at [email protected] to confirm. Fuel discounts may be available.
Just flying in and parking?
You can park outside the event grounds at the terminal. You’ll need to walk to the main gate to enter the event. For safety and respect for local tenants, there’s no public access from the terminal ramp.

Yes, re-entry is allowed. Just check with gate staff before you leave to learn the day’s re-entry process.
Yes! Tickets are available in advance on our website. Buying early may also save you money.
