About the Slayer Jet Car

Built just three years ago, this jet-powered car is a heavily modified 1953 Corvette, with a stretched and widened body and raised roofline to house its jet engine. Powered by a Westinghouse J-34 producing 6,000 pounds of thrust—roughly 12,000 horsepower—it delivers a performance that’s as intense as it is unforgettable.

Unlike traditional drag cars, this vehicle performs directly on the runway in front of the crowd, showcasing the full afterburner ignition, sustained high-energy runs, and controlled deceleration using parachutes. With speeds reaching up to 350 mph and extended run time along the crowd line, it creates a wall of heat, sound, and motion that you don’t just watch—you feel.
