The P-51 Red Tail represents one of the most recognizable fighter aircraft of World War II and honors the legacy of the Tuskegee Airmen. These highly skilled pilots flew P-51 Mustangs with distinctive red tail markings while serving with the 332nd Fighter Group, escorting Allied bombers and earning a reputation for excellence in combat. Their success challenged segregation in the U.S. military and helped pave the way for the integration of the armed forces.

This aircraft is restored and maintained as a flying tribute to that legacy. Painted in authentic WWII-era markings, it serves as an educational tool and a powerful symbol of perseverance, skill, and innovation in aviation history. Through airshows and public events, the Red Tail helps share the story of the Tuskegee Airmen and their lasting impact on both military aviation and civil rights.
