The AT-6 Texan was the most important advanced pilot trainer of World War II. Renowned for its performance and reliability, it was used by multiple military branches and allied nations around the world. Our aircraft is one of the SNJ models built specifically for the U.S. Navy during WWII.

More advanced and demanding than the BT-13, the SNJ prepared pilots for the high-performance fighters and bombers they would later fly in combat.

The Minnesota Wing's SNJ is a familiar sight at air shows and formation flights throughout the Twin Cities, often appearing over parades, memorial services, and commemorative events. When it's not in the air, you can find it on display at the Minnesota Wing hangar museum at Fleming Field in South St. Paul, MN.
